Company Profile

Hart Innovative Solutions, Inc. - based in Webster NY - a suburb of Rochester, was incorporated in 1998.  We are a consulting firm specializing in solutions based on lean thinking.  We have completed many successful material flow and business process improvement projects in manufacturing, distribution, service and healthcare settings.

Biographical Information

Greg Hart - President

Greg Hart is an innovator helping companies to improve their manufacturing and business processes for bottom line results.  He has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering and operations management.  A selection of consulting clients include Advanced Interconnect Manufacturing, Inc., Angiotech Biocoatings, Pierce Industries, Wilson Greatbatch,  OhmCraft, Helen Hayes Hospital, Simcona, TargetVision, and TRW.  Previously, he was an industrial engineer for Eastman Kodak and a retail distribution center manager for The Denver Stores. 

Some highlights of Greg’s lean thinking solutions include:

Ø      Led value stream mapping, kaizen and 5S lean applications for several companies

Ø      Applied lean techniques in applications ranging from hospitals to manufacturing and distribution

Ø      Planned and implemented major layout transformations to achieve continuous, cellular flow

Ø      Designed and implemented kanban card pull systems, FIFO queues and other visual production control

Mr. Hart earned an MBA from the University of Rochester Simon School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology - both with honors.  Greg has extensive background in lean manufacturing from his teaching, consulting, research, seminars, conferences and tours. Greg Hart Resume

Greg is Senior VP of Continuing Education, a position on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).  He held positions as IIE Rochester Chapter President and Conference Chairman, and Regional Vice President.  He helped to found the Rochester Joint Council of Professional Business Groups.  He is active in the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Rochester Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Society (RIMES), and Rochester Professional Consultants Network (RPCN).
